Downtown Urban Community Kids is addressing the crucial community need for a safe environment during the FIVE
CRITICAL HOURS of 3pm to 8pm when the greatest incidence of juvenile crime and gang recruitment is likely to occur.
Opening Doors to Life's Possibilities
DUCK opens doors for inner city kids in central Phoenix by providing a structured after-school and summer program where
they get help with homework, reinforcement of life-skill values and opportunities for recreational, sports and creative
instruction and activity.
Long term success will only be measured in the ability of the kids to stay in school, off drugs and out of gangs. Our
vision is to give them a vision for their future and the hope to achieve their God-given potential, becoming role models
within their families and communities.
